What this site records
This page explains what happens when you visit the public site, contact me, or open a private client workspace.
Effective August 16, 2026
The public site
I use PostHog to understand which pages people visit and which links they use. The analytics are anonymous. The site keeps its random visitor identifier in memory only for the current browser session, not in browser storage. I do not use PostHog recordings, heatmaps, personal profiles, or account identification on this site.
A visit can include the page address, referring page, browser and device details, approximate region, and actions such as opening a service, newsletter, or partner link. I do not send email addresses or private form text to PostHog.
Email, Substack, and Leland
You choose whether to send me an email and what to include. I use that information to read and respond to your message.
Newsletter signup is handled by Substack. When you submit an email address, it is sent to Substack under its own privacy terms. Coaching links take you to Leland, which handles activity on its site under its own privacy terms.
Private client workspaces
Private workspaces record opens, active reading time, scroll progress, sections viewed, and link or action clicks. They can also record browser, device, language, approximate location, and referring-page details. This helps me manage an engagement and understand whether shared material has been reviewed.
If you leave an optional comment or note, its text is stored with the workspace. Limited Slack alerts may tell me that a workspace was opened or an action was taken. Comment and note text is not included in those Slack alerts.
Services that run the site
Lovable hosts and publishes the site. Supabase stores private workspace activity and comments. PostHog provides public-site analytics. Substack manages newsletter signup, Leland manages coaching bookings, and Slack can deliver limited private-workspace alerts. Each provider processes information needed to deliver its part of the service.
Partner links can lead to other companies. Some may be referral links, as explained on the Partnerships page. Those companies control what happens after you leave this site.
How long information is kept
Public-site analytics are kept for up to 12 months. Private-workspace activity and comments are kept during an engagement and for up to 12 months after it ends. Security and rate-limit records are kept for up to 30 days. Direct emails may be kept longer when needed to manage an engagement or meet legal or accounting obligations. You can ask me to delete information I control.
Your choices
You can browse without sending me an email, join the newsletter only if you choose, and unsubscribe through Substack at any time. If you do not want private-workspace activity recorded, do not open or use the workspace and contact me for another way to receive the material.
To ask what I have, correct something, or request deletion, email admin@nelsonspencer.com.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact me if you believe a child has provided information so I can address it.
